Amphora is opening in Manhattan this month with a wine-focused fine-dining experience. The restaurant will feature more than 2,500 bottles of wine, including selections from established and emerging producers.

Amphora Is Opening in Manhattan’s Flatiron

Amphora, a new wine-focused restaurant, is set to open September 9 in New York City’s Flatiron District. The restaurant will be located on East 20th Street and will be led by Chef Jack Logue and Wine Director Chris Miller.

The restaurant is named after an ancient vessel used to carry wine across different civilizations. It celebrates wine’s role in bringing cultures and people together. Amphora aims to give guests an experience that combines exceptional wine with elevated cuisine.

According to a Time Out report, the restaurant will feature more than 2,500 bottles of wine. The restaurant will have 48 seats and was redesigned by Bentel & Bentel.

At Amphora, guests can choose a chef’s tasting menu or a three- or four-course prix fixe menu. They can also choose from a small à la carte selection at the bar. The menu will include dishes such as Montauk fluke with tomato, melon and shiso; diver scallops with sweet corn; and Rohan duck breast.

According to the Time Out report, Amphora’s wine selection will include wines from Burgundy, Champagne, Piedmont, and the Northern Rhône.

The cellar will also feature producers such as Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Coche-Dury, Raveneau, Rousseau, Giacomo Conterno, and Pétrus. Amphora will also offer multiple vintages from producers, including Krug, Domaine Leflaive, Ridge and Opus One.

Amphora will bring a wine-focused dining experience to Manhattan’s Flatiron District. Its extensive wine collection and elevated menu are set to make the restaurant a new destination for food and wine exploration.
