An iconic restaurant and bar located inside the Utica Square shopping center in Tulsa is preparing for its final farewell. Pepper’s Grill and Cantina Tulsa will serve its final dinner on August 29, marking the end of its 48-year run. The restaurant team announced the closure in a social media post.
Pepper’s Grill and Cantina to Close Its Tulsa Location
Founded in 1978, Pepper’s Grill and Cantina is popularly known for serving cozy dining experiences and patio seating.
The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, including combinations of traditional American grill comfort foods. Along with the food menu, the restaurant also offers an extensive drink selection and beer options.
In the post, the team thanked customers for their support, writing, “We are forever grateful for every single guest who has made us a part of their Tulsa story. We have so much love for this community, and we want to spend every last day showing you that.”
The restaurant team did not share any specific reason for its sudden closure.
Customers React to Closure
Following the sudden closure announcement, the regular customers of the restaurant expressed their disappointment on social media. One customer wrote, “This breaks my heart to see. Peppers was one of my mom’s favorite restaurants in Utica Square, and we lost her in January. My family and I will have to come eat in her honor before you close.”
“The high tops by the windows in the bar section are terra sancta for me. There is something magical about it. I’ll be in several times between now and your last day,” commented another customer.
As the restaurant enters its final weeks of operations, Pepper’s team encourages the Tulsa community to stop by and enjoy a few more meals with them.
