Los Angeles Angels fans rank among the highest spenders on concessions in Major League Baseball, according to a recent survey. As the MLB season continues, a recent survey sheds light on how much different fanbases spend at the ballpark.
Matches Attended by Baseball Fans at MLB

Sports platform Bovada Sportsbook recently conducted a survey of 3,000 baseball fans across the country. The focus was on finding out the spending patterns of different MLB fanbases with regard to refreshments at games.
The study compared factors, including the average number of games fans attend each season, along with their spending on food and beer during each visit.
Among the listed fanbases, Los Angeles Angels supporters were said to be attending an average of 15 games per season, the highest among all teams.
Washington Nationals fans attend an average of 14 games per season, followed by Miami Marlins fans at 13 and San Diego Padres fans at 10.
Angels Fans Lead the Beer Spending at the League
The survey found that Angels fans rank second in overall spending on food and beverages across MLB. While attending the league’s 15 games on average annually, their concession spending reaches $1,152.90 per year.
The survey also found that Angels fans consume and spend the most on beer over the course of a season. On average, Angels fans purchase about 45 beers and spend $564.18 on beer during a season.
Padres Fans Spend the Most on Beer Per Game

While the Los Angeles Angels fanbase tops the rankings for beer spending over the season, San Diego Padres fans spend the most per game.
Padres fans spend an average of $46.36 on beer per game, the highest per-visit total among the fanbases surveyed. That figure leads all fanbases included in the survey. Padres fans spend an average of $485.89 on beer over the course of a season.
Angels fans spend about $37.44 on beer during each game-day visit.
Washington Nationals fans rank close behind, spending an average of $520.15 on beer per season and $36.85 per game.
Washington Nationals Fans Top MLB for Overall Food and Drink Spending
The survey states that Washington Nationals supporters rank first for overall concession expenses. Fans spend an average of $1,196.32 on food and drinks throughout one season. In addition, at the ballpark, Nationals fans spend about $84.75 per game on food and beverages.
Los Angeles Angels supporters are second on the list with an average seasonal food-and-drink expense of $1,152.90.
Miami Marlins has the third position based on an average seasonal concession spend of $1,131.82. Survey details add that at $86.53, Marlins supporters spend more than Nationals per game on food and drinks. However, fewer games attended per season bring their overall spending total below that of other fan groups.
The findings highlight how concession costs can add up quickly for frequent MLB attendees over the course of a season.
