Krispy Kreme is celebrating Pokémon’s 30th anniversary with a limited-time doughnut collection inspired by the franchise. The limited-time collection will be available at participating Krispy Kreme locations across the U.S. beginning August 18.
Krispy Kreme Introduces Pokémon Doughnut Collection Across U.S.
According to Business Wire, the chain has teamed up with The Pokémon Company International to bring six fresh doughnuts. Each item features a unique flavor and design inspired by the Pokémon universe.
- Bulbasaur Doughnut – This Original Glazed doughnut is coated in vanilla-flavored icing and finished with a frosting topping alongside a Bulbasaur piece.
- Charmander Doughnut – This doughnut features chocolate and toasted marshmallow-flavored filling, orange caramel icing, red and gold sugar, and a Charmander decoration.
- Pikachu Doughnut – This is filled with lemon-flavored Kreme, is layered with vanilla icing, and is topped with a drizzle, sprinkles, and a Pikachu decoration.
- Squirtle Doughnut – This Original Glazed doughnut contains buttercreme with a cotton candy flavor and is finished with sprinkles, sugar, and a surfing Squirtle piece.
- Jigglypuff Doughnut – This doughnut offering features a strawberry-flavored buttercreme along with strawberry cookie pieces and is completed with a Jigglypuff topper.
- Poké Ball Doughnut – This item is dipped in vanilla icing and red sprinkles, then topped with chocolate icing.
Beginning August 18, the doughnuts will be available individually or by the dozen. Customers can get the items in-shop and through Krispy Kreme’s pickup and delivery services.
According to the press release shows that the Pokémon 6-count assortment will also be available at select retailers. The box includes one each of the Pikachu, Charmander, Poké Ball, and Jigglypuff doughnuts, along with two Original Glazed doughnuts.

Special Packaging and Additional Offers
The collaboration also includes Pokémon-themed packaging. Customers can get 10 Original Glazed Gold Dots in a special Pokémon cup, which includes five exclusive designs from the franchise.
Another promotion is scheduled for Saturday, August 22. Through this, customers wearing Pokémon attire to the participating locations can expect one free Original Glazed doughnut. This offer applies to one doughnut for each customer for both in-shop and drive-thru purchases.
Alison Holder, Krispy Kreme’s chief brand and product officer, said the company enjoyed bringing the Pokémon world to life through its doughnuts. She added that the collection combines themed creations, playful flavors, special cups, packaging, and fan offers to celebrate Pokémon’s 30th anniversary.
