Negroni Brickell LLC has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection as it seeks to address mounting financial challenges. Court records show the Miami-based restaurant and sushi bar operator listed trade debt, tax obligations, and other liabilities in its filing.

Negroni Brickell LLC, known for its Nikkei-inspired sushi and cocktail program, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on July 1, 2026. Court records show the company qualified as a small business debtor and elected to proceed under Subchapter V.

Overview of the Filing

Chief Restructuring Officer Albert Llodra signed the petition filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida. Attorney Jacqueline Calderin of Agentis PLLC is the legal counsel for the restaurant and bar operator.

The filing comes as restaurants across the Miami area continue to face mounting financial pressures. According to Coconut Grove Spotlight, visitors in the city are spending less on dining. Rising costs for rent, food, labor, and insurance have added to those financial pressures.

Highlights from the Petition

Case records on PACER show that Negroni Brickell LLC submitted a list of creditors with the largest unsecured creditors. These include citizenM Miami Brickell, Patagonian Sea Food LLC, Florida Department of Revenue, Argal LLC, Chase Bank, and others.

According to the filing, the claims include sales taxes, trade debt, resort taxes, and utility charges. Court filings indicate that funds are expected to be available for distribution to unsecured creditors.
