Health inspectors observed several violations at Christy’s Donuts in Fullerton. The report noted an expired food safety certificate in the facility. It then notes the empty paper towel dispenser at the hand-wash sink. There were squeeze bottles and plastic food containers without labels to identify their contents.

The report cited the need for thorough cleaning and sanitizing due to rodent droppings. Grease and debris were observed on the floors throughout the facility.

Plumbing issues include the cap on the plumbing fixture beneath the 2-compartment sink being missing. Openings and crevices were also spotted, which need to be sealed. The janitorial sink also needs the holes and openings sealed.

Major violations included improper storage of time-controlled foods (TPHC), rodent infestation, and food contamination.

Inspectors found numerous insects inside a flour container labeled blueberry. There were rodent droppings next to the trays of raisin rolls and croissants. Inspectors noted the cutting boards were not sanitized often during food prep.

The inspectors observed rodent droppings throughout the facility. It was on the floor beneath the dry storage racks, the oven, the 2-compartment sink, in the back, the refrigeration units, and the water heater. It was on the solid wooden prep table, and the floor beneath the flour bulk bin storage placed under the table. It was on the donut trays on the speed rack.
