Zesty Olives — a Mediterranean chain helmed by brother and sister Boris Mitrev and Dessi Sarabosing — is opening its third company-owned store at 30242 Crown Valley Pkwy B4A & 4B, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677, according to a recently filed ABC application and confirmed by both Mitrev and Sarabosing. The locale is slated to open in mid-spring.
The duo runs two other locations, with one in Lake Forest — Zesty Olives’ maiden operation — and the other in Irvine at the Diamond Jamboree Shopping Center.
What’s more, Sarabosing tells What Now Los Angeles that she and Mitrev have been given clearance for franchising in California, Florida, Texas, and Nevada under the franchisor entity Mitrevi Franchisor Group. Prior to the franchising plan, Zesty Olives operated as Mitrevi Restaurant Group.
The fresh-never-frozen Mediterranean concept will also gain an executive chef from the UK to “spearhead culinary and take the brand to the next level,” says Sarabosing.
Currently, “the menu centers around a variety of grilled proteins such as chicken, beef, lamb, salmon, and falafel served in a wrap, over a fresh green salad, or in a bowl with grilled veggies, herbed rice, lettuce, hummus, and tzatziki.”
It’s currently unclear as to how the menu will change when the incoming chef and franchising plan are implemented, but it seems unlikely that the company’s commitment to freshness will be compromised.
