Din Tai Fung is officially headed to Brea Mall as part of the property’s ongoing multimillion-dollar redevelopment, according to an announcement from the enterprise.
Known worldwide for its signature xiao long bao, Din Tai Fung serves steamed soup dumplings alongside noodles, fried rice, vegetables, desserts and beverages.
The internationally recognized dumpling restaurant is one of 11 new retail and dining concepts that will join the shopping center as it continues its transformation into a mixed-use destination featuring shopping, dining, entertainment and residential living.
The announcement coincides with the grand opening of Life Time, an 85,000-square-foot luxury athletic country club featuring fitness facilities, boutique studios, pickleball courts and a rooftop Beach Club.
The broader redevelopment will culminate in 2028 with the completion of 377 luxury apartment homes, adding a residential component to the center alongside upgraded outdoor spaces, pedestrian walkways, fountains and public art.
Din Tai Fung will anchor the mall’s late summer 2026 exterior redevelopment alongside Kalbi Social Club, while additional concepts expected to arrive include Pop Mart, N.CAT, Onigilly, Fat Daddy Chicken, Mr. Inkwells, SOLES ART, Caitlyn Minimalist, Palmetto Superfoods and Sanlejur.
Recent openings at the property include The Melt, Pacific Catch, North Italia, Williams-Sonoma, EVEREVE, Shibuyala and DICK’S Sporting Goods.
