Gelato Paradiso is set to open a new location at Katella Commons, the upcoming market hall at OCVIBE in Anaheim. The Newport Beach-based gelateria was announced as one of the latest culinary additions to the 50,000-square-foot, two-story food hall, which is scheduled to open in early 2027. The project is located at 2610 E Katella Ave. in Anaheim.

According to OCVIBE, Gelato Paradiso will be operated in partnership with longtime gelato artisan Pedro Quevedo. Founded in Newport Beach in 1999, Gelato Paradiso has grown from a neighborhood gelateria into a business with locations across Southern California and Texas.

The company says it remains focused on traditional Italian gelato-making methods, producing its gelato fresh each day in small batches. Approximately 80% of Gelato Paradiso’s ingredients are imported directly from Italy, while fruits are sourced locally and seasonally when possible.

The menu includes classic flavors such as Pistacchio, Stracciatella and Bacio, as well as rotating gelato and sorbetto flavors. Quevedo, who has worked with the company since its founding, said the business continues to use the same daily production approach it established in 1999.

Katella Commons will feature 21 kitchens and six bar and lounge concepts when it opens. The market hall is part of OCVIBE, a 100-acre mixed-use development surrounding Honda Center that is being developed with a $5 billion commitment from the Samueli Family.
