Jincook, a family-run Korean soul food restaurant, is preparing to open a new location in Yorba Linda. Records with the Orange County Health Care Agency’s Environmental Health Division show the business has been approved to move forward with the project at 21480 Yorba Linda Blvd, Suite D.
Filings state that plans were received in late September and revisions were submitted in December. On January 6, Jincook was given the green light for a food remodel of over 1,000 square feet. A community tip states it is taking over the Lamppost Pizza spot.
GM Minsoo Ryu, who is also in charge of the Jincook in Buena Park, told What Now OC the location is expected to open between the end of March and the beginning of April. The family-run business is led by a team of brothers and their mother. It is currently hiring for all positions: servers, bussers, cooks, prep, and dishwashers.
Jincook specializes in authentic Korean soul food and Korean alcoholic beverages such as soju and rice wine. The Buena Park location operates from 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM Sunday through Wednesday, until 11:00 PM on Thursdays, and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, its Yelp page shows.
