As The Commons plaza in Aliso Viejo starts to show signs of life, the buzz for one of its upcoming entertainment tenants is growing. As first announced by The Growling Wolverine, the bowling brand signed a lease to open at the newly redeveloped shopping center, located at 26503 Aliso Creek Rd.

According to the city’s website, The Commons is a result of a $115 million dining, entertainment, and retail project spearheaded by ValueRock Realty. It spans 21 acres on the site of former Lowe’s and Staples locations. Lucky Strike’s status is listed as “plans under review for permit issuance”.

It will join a number of other new retailers, including a Daiso that opens this weekend and a 99 Ranch Market that will welcome shoppers next month. Other confirmed tenants include a Tesla showroom and service center, Sender One, Omomo Tea Shoppe, Philz Coffee, and Marugame Udon USA.

Permitting plans show the business is seeking approval to construct a bowling alley with live entertainment, a video game arcade, and a restaurant offering alcohol service. Menus at other Lucky Strike locations include classics like chicken tenders, quesadillas, mozzarella bites, fries, pretzels, nachos, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, bao buns, and wings.
