With nearly 70 locations in California, Texas and Washington, family-owned restaurant chain Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market plans to open a new location at 24420 Alicia Parkway Suite A in Mission Viejo, according to a pending liquor license application with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

Mendocino Farms will open in the new ground-up development, Alicia Landing, alongside a Dave’s Hot Chicken franchise, among other tenants.

Adhering to a mission of partnering with local farmers and culinary artisans and offering fresh foods to the public while supporting local economies, Mendocino Farms co-founders and husband and wife Ellen Chen and Mario Del Pero opened their first restaurant in Los Angeles’s Bunker Hill neighborhood in 2005.

The restaurant’s many offerings include sandwiches like the Sweet Heat Crispy Thai Chicken, Peruvian Steak, “Not So Fried” Chicken, vegan/vegetarian options such as the Happy Hippie and Vegan Banh Mi, soups, and a plethora of salad choices.
