A new java shop is coming to the Islamic Center of Irvine property, according to a tip from the community. Located at 2 Truman St, the facility’s ground will be home to Hala Coffee, a concept serving Yemeni coffee and tea.

This new business promises an experience that combines the rich heritage of Yemeni coffee and tea with modern brewing techniques. A menu online teases a wide variety of options, from double espresso shots and macchiatos to unique beverages like Yemeni milk coffee and adeni chai.

The website also lists the hours that Hala Coffee will operate as Monday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, Friday and Saturday from 6:00 am to 12:00 am, and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Executive Director of the Islamic Center of Irvine Amin Rafiq declined to comment on the venture at this time and said they may provide more details in the future.
