Anaheim will be getting a new spot for beers when Villains Brewery comes to town. According to an alcohol license filed with the city, the Smoke and Fire ownership group plans to open at 555 and 559 S Anaheim Blvd.
If the name Smoke and Fire rings a bell, that’s because Isaias Hernandez’s burgeoning local empire already boasts a handful of locations of the group’s eponymous restaurant around Orange County, South L.A., and the inland empire.
While much isn’t known yet about the exact concept for Villains Brewery, it stands to reason there will be beer. But, in addition to that, food in the vein of Smoke and Fire just might be a natural fit.
The menu features undeniably Instagram friendly escalations of many classic smoked barbecue proteins–think brisket grilled cheese on gigantic Texas toast. The menu also nods to a couple of other trendy items in the realm of classic American cuisine with whole sections devoted, respectively, to Nashville hot chicken and the smash burger.
As more information about the concept becomes available, What Now Orange County will continue to report.
