Ross Dress for Less appears to be preparing to open a new Costa Mesa location at Metro Pointe at South Coast, according to project information. The off-price retailer is seeking bids related to the development of a store at 901 S Coast Dr., Suite 100, in the popular retail hub right off the 405.
Project data shows the brand is planning a nearly 40,000-square-foot Ross and is seeking construction bids this week for the tenant interior fit-out. Documents describe extensive new interior finishes throughout the space, along with exterior changes like new egress doors and a new storefront.
The listing identifies MCG Architecture as the architect, with VLMK Consulting Engineers handling structural engineering and McHenry & Associates serving as the MEP engineer.
Metro Pointe at South Coast is an open-air shopping center combining retail, restaurants, and entertainment. It’s already home to a broad mix of big-name brands, from Best Buy, Marshalls, and Nordstrom Rack to Subway, The Pizza Press, and Boudin Sourdough. The property also features Regal Edwards Metro Pointe and a Color Me Mine, a directory shows.
