Home to stores like Dillard’s, JCPenney, and Zales, Merritt Island’s Merritt Square Mall will soon add a new Jamaican restaurant to its restaurant roster. According to plan review paperwork, Crossroads Jerk Center will join the mall, opening at 777 E Merritt Island Causeway.

What Now confirmed the news with co-owner Lora Cross on Thursday.

“We’ll be opening next month,” said Cross. “We’re going to be doing indoor and outdoor dining, with live entertainment seven days a week.”

The menu, in honor of Crossroads Jerk Center’s name, will feature a wide variety of jerk dishes.

“We’re going to jerk everything,” said Cross.

That means chicken, pork, and more—along with other classic Jamaican dishes like curry goat and oxtail soup.

Opening in the Merritt Square Mall, Crossroads Jerk Center joins a food and drink community that includes restaurants like Margarita Island and China Max.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
