What Now reported last October on plans for Good Salt Restaurant Group, the hospitality company headed up by Jason and Sue Chin, to open Osteria Ester, a restaurant serving “classic dishes such as fresh pasta and house-baked focaccia,” at 629 E Central Blvd in Thornton Park.
That opening has since come to pass, and now, coverage by Orlando Weekly says the Good Salt Restaurant Group team are at work on their next project.
Opening in the Milk District, where it will replace Hoods Up at 2400 E Robinson St, the new restaurant will be called Paper Kites, a Korean-style pub.
“While the pair are waiting a little longer before releasing additional info on the concept, you can be sure that soju, makgeolli and beer will be poured and paired alongside various anju — comforting, booze-soaking snacks and dishes,” the coverage says.
Taking over the Hoods Up corner-lot space, Paper Kite will join nearby restaurants like Otto’s High Dive, Stasio’s Italian Deli & Market, and Black Magic Pizza.
What Now reached out on Tuesday to Jason Chin to ask about plans for the Paper Kites opening. Chin was not immediately available for comment.
