Located at 1710 E Buena Vista Drive at Disney Springs, Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop is preparing for a renovation at the end of this summer. Earlier this month, the company announced that the Disney Springs location will temporarily relocate to Disney Springs Town Center during the remodel of its Disney Springs Marketplace store, which opened in 1996.

The renovation, after which the shop is expected to reopen in 2027, “underscores Ghirardelli’s continued investment in Disney Springs, building on its longstanding relationship with Disney while introducing thoughtful design updates to a space that has welcomed guests for nearly three decades,” said a recent press release. “The remodeled store will feature increased indoor guest seating, more efficient guest checkout to reduce wait times, and a few surprises.”

The Disney Springs Marketplace store serves up, alongside its soda fountain, “decadent hot fudge sundaes, with handmade hot fudge made fresh daily from Ghirardelli Chocolate.”

“Disney Springs has been a cherished home for Ghirardelli for nearly 30 years, and we are proud of the magical chocolate memories we’ve helped create for guests from around the world,” Lacey Zane, Vice President of Restaurant & Retail at Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, said in the press release. “Our longstanding relationship with Disney is an important part of that story, and this next chapter allows us to thoughtfully evolve the space while honoring its legacy. We look forward to continuing to serve guests at our temporary location in Town Center during this transition and unveiling an updated space in 2027.”

The press release specifies that, throughout the renovation, guests will be able to enjoy the full Ghirardelli menu at a temporary location in Disney Springs Town Center, “keeping the traditions and flavors they know and love available during construction.”
