At the end of this month, Twin Peaks is bringing “eats, drinks, scenic views” to Kissimmee with its first-ever lodge in the area. It’s taking over the former Smokey Bones space at 2911 Vineland Rd, in the Poinciana Place shopping center—a transformation in which the company invested $4 million, says coverage by the Orlando Business Journal.
“We’ve converted several Smokey Bones now,” Twin Peaks Chief Operating Officer Roger Gondek told What Now on Thursday. “They’re beautiful.”
Gondek says the space comes in at about 8,000 square feet, featuring one huge bar with about 28 seats and another, smaller indoor-outdoor bar. The space will feature more than 50 TVs.
“We’re opening in the middle of the World Cup, which is really exciting,” Melissa Fry, Chief Marketing Officer at Twin Peaks Restaurants, told What Now. “And we have really expanded our menu to enhance shareables; we have some new shareables that are great game day offerings. Because when today’s diner goes out, it’s more communal, and when you walk in, you see the aesthetic, the placement—everything is for congregating.”
The new Twin Peaks will open on June 29, joining the Poinciana Place retail and restaurant roster, which includes businesses like Ross Dress for Less and Venezuela Bakery.
Gondek says the new location plans to hire 130 people for the Kissimmee restaurant. You can apply at twinpeaksrestaurant.com.
