A Chestnut hill favorite is preparing to usher in the next generation of delicious, quality Indian food in Plymouth Meeting. New Era Indian Cuisine will be opening a new location in the area this spring, reports local media outlet More Than The Curve.

The restaurant is debuting its second location at 1005 Germantown Pike. New Era is opening in the space formerly occupied by Yu’s Grateful Asian Cuisine. Owner Hemant Sen Oli spoke with What Now Philadelphia about bringing New Era’s fresh and authentic dishes to Plymouth.

“After getting really good customer support in our Chestnut Hill location, it encouraged us to expand to a new location.” Sen Oli states, adding that many of the existing customers requested a New Era in Plymouth Meeting. “We found a nice location in Plymouth which is a perfect fit for us.”

Providing a quick overview of the restaurant, Sen Oli says “Our restaurant is for lunch and dinner, so all of our customers can visit us between 11 am to 9 pm for take out and dine-in. We offer free delivery within a 3 mile radius. The restaurant will remain closed on Wednesdays.”

Future regulars looking for their new favorite dish will have a wealth of options to choose from. Sen Oli states “We highly recommend our customers try each and every item on the menu, which includes freshly prepared ingredients. For example, tikka masala, butter chicken, all of those biryani, freshly tandoor grilled meat and vegetables. Also don’t forget to try freshly baked naan breads ( garlic naan , cheese naan or roti).”

New Era has all of its permits and licenses in place, and is aiming to open by mid-April. “We are very excited to serve our fresh and delicious meals in this neighborhood.” states Sen Oli. “I know this is a very challenging inflation period for investing but the community’s love encourages us.”

While Sen Oli hopes to continue expansion, New Era’s mission statement is pure and simple. Sen Oli states: “Our future plan is to keep  introducing our freshly prepared food to our neighborhood.”
