Carbon Copy Brewing will be located at 701 S. 50th St., Philadelphia, PA 19146, according to Philly Mag and confirmed by a press announcement. While a definitive debut date has yet to be set, Philly Mag reported an early autumn opening.
Co-owners Kyle Wolak and Brendon Boudwin plan to turn the taproom into a combination brewery and winery, with the beer brewed on-site and the wine “made from local grapes…at a separate location across town.” According to the aforementioned announcement, the duo wants “to provide an unpretentious, accessible and unique dining experience in the space, while creating a true ‘neighborhood bar’ feel for locals.”
Carbon Copy’s location is none other than the former Dock Street Brewery which operated from the old firehouse for 15 years. In late May, the DSB team announced its closure but assured locals a new taproom would be coming in to tend to their beverage needs.
The Carbon Copy menu will also feature snacks, sandwiches, and pizzas tailored to be cooked in the included wood-fired pizza oven.
