Yesterday, Nov 1, long-time culinary professional with such Philadelphia brands as Federal Donuts and Zahav, Matt Fein, took to the social media accounts of Dad’s Deli – located at 135 N Maple Ave in Marlton – to announce that he was the beloved deli and catering service’s new owner, effective immediately.

“I live in Mount Laurel with my wife and our two young boys, and I am so looking forward to finally serving the community where I am raising my family,” writes Fein. “I know that Doug created such a warm, welcoming, and friendly neighborhood business, and I plan to continue that legacy moving forward.”

Fein could not immediately be reached for comment.

Dad’s Deli & Catering was opened in 2006 by Doug Schweitzer, who was known for serving up a steady stream of breakfast and lunch staples, such as French toast, pancakes, egg sandwiches, and omelets. Meanwhile, lunch was marked by Schweitzer’s signature deli sandwiches, salads, soups, and hoagies.
