A recent addition to the Deptford dining scene has proven too popular for the confines of its current space. P.J. Whelihan’s only opened in the area 9 months ago but is already expanding its reach, reports local media outlet 42Freeway.
The beloved pub and restaurant is building out its space at 2000 Clements Bridge Road. The primary objective of the expansion is to turn the outdoor patio space into additional indoor dining. The addition will be enclosed by garage doors that can easily open in warmer weather, so fans of P.J. Whelihan’s won’t have to completely abandon the al fresco experience.
The completed project will add 8 new tables to the restaurant, raising the total from 17 to 25. Guests will be able to enjoy the big game on one of the 16 new tvs in the space.
P.J. Whelihan’s is remaining open to hungry customers while the work is completed; the new area should be up and ready for customers by early September.
