Life is too short to not, at least sometimes, eat dessert first. Devour Desserts, a popular New Jersey bakery, is helping to ensure that even more Garden State residents can enjoy the sweet release of a perfectly executed treat. The Mantua-favorite is preparing to open a second New Jersey (and third overall) location, this one in Pitman.

Owner Misty Solomon announced the upcoming storefront via a social media post on the company’s official Facebook page on June 4. She states that she has just signed the lease for Devour’s new space in the Total Turf Experience complex, located at 614 Lambs Road. While this does not provide a comprehensive opening timeline, it does confirm that the eatery is still in the early phases and customers may have to wait a bit before sinking their teeth into a delicious baked treat.

Self-taught baker and chocolatier Solomon launched Devour Desserts in 2011 and has earned considerable acclaim for her efforts. The bakery won best of Gloucester County 5 years in a row and now has two storefronts up and running-one in Mantua, New Jersey and the other in Aston, Pennsylvania.

Devour Desserts customers can select from a range of delicious, handmade snacks. The menu features irresistible creations including cakes, chocolate dipped strawberries, and parfait shooters. Solomon is enthusiastic about bringing her recipes to a new audience. She states in the social media announcement: “We couldn’t be more pumped to partner with this incredible facility & team! It’s been years in the making and was finally the right time!!”
