A Mechanicsburg-favorite Italian restaurant is preparing to bring its beloved fare to Dauphin County. Luna Italian Cuisine, a family-run operation, is opening a new location in Susquehanna Township later this year, reports local media outlet Penn Live.

The restaurant will be opening as a part of the Susquehanna Union Green mixed-use town center development, located at 2615 Linglestown Road. Luna will be occupying unit 4B. According to the official plans for Susquehanna Union Green presented on the Landmark Commercial Real Estate website, the Italian eatery will have a dedicated 4,375 square feet to serve its beloved cuisine.

Construction is underway on Luna’s new home, and while a precise opening date is not yet available, developers predict the restaurant could be up and running within six months.

Dauphin County Italian food enthusiasts have good reason to be excited; run by the busy Scotto family, Luna has been voted the best Italian cuisine in Mechanicsburg in 2024 by OpenTable. Chef Tony Coppola will be working to bring the same delicious dishes that have delighted Luna’s existing diners to the next era of fans.

Luna Italian is committed to serving authentic and freshly prepared fare. As the website states: “From the rich and hearty dishes of Tuscany to the seafood delights of the Amalfi Coast, each month brings a new exploration of Italy’s diverse culinary heritage. Indulge in the art of Italian cooking and savor the distinct flavors that make each region a gastronomic masterpiece.”
