The owners of Manny’s Restaurant and Delicatessen are planning to open Manny’s Deli Stop, a fast-casual offshoot of the traditional Jewish eatery, this summer at 4003 Welsh Road in Willow Grove, according to local media outlet Philly Grub

Manny’s Deli Stop allows owners Jeremy and Chase Thomas and Rob Woloshin to return to their initial concept for the Manny’s brand. Speaking to What Now Philadelphia, Woloshin states, “This was our original vision for bringing the deli into the 21st century.”

Manny’s Deli Stop will function as a quick-service eatery. Unlike Manny’s Restaurant, the deli stop will not have servers. Customers will place their orders at the counter and staff will call out when the sandwich is complete.

The Willow Grove Pointe Shopping Center facility is the first of several planned locations. Rob mentions part of the fast-casual model’s appeal is that “it’s more replicable. We would love to open more like it.”

The owners look forward to filling Willow Grove’s Jewish deli void. Rob says of Willow Grove, “It’s a great area. And it serves three different communities that lack good delis.”

The menu for Manny’s Deli Stop will be a more compact version of Manny’s Restaurant and Delicatessen. While the flagship restaurant features full meals, the Deli Stop will focus on sandwiches. However, Manny’s Deli Stop will serve many of the restaurant’s customer favorites, including the Jubano, Manny’s signature interpretation of the Cubano, made of corned beef, pastrami, spicy mustard, swiss cheese, and pickles.

Manny’s Deli Stop will be slicing meats, hot to order, a service the restaurant does not currently offer.

Manny’s Deli Stop is hoping to open its door in June. The eatery is currently completing the permitting process.
