A Jersey chef with a flair for the sweeter things in life is preparing to fulfill a lifelong dream. Emma Taylor, the brains behind Milk Sugar Love Creamery and Bakeshop, is introducing a new location of her passion project to Asbury Park this summer.

Taylor will be bringing her house-made ice creams to 1319 Memorial Drive this June. A press release provided to What Now Philadelphia states that while Milk Sugar Love Creamery’s second location will continue the established tradition of delicious ice cream served in a welcoming environment, it will include a larger production kitchen, a walk-up window, and seating for up to 12.

Not content to simply serve delectable sweet treats, Milk Sugar Love Creamery will invite guests to sit at the counter and watch their orders be prepared. Guests will be able to choose from a mouth-watering selection of tasty options. The press release explains: “The new location’s expanded menu will showcase house-made ice cream by the scoop, artisanal soft serve, specialty coffee drinks featuring affogatos and cold brew floats, and a full take home menu including ice cream sandwiches, celebration ice cream cakes, and fresh-baked treats.”

Asbury Park’s vibrant culture and community fueled Taylor’s passion for crafting delicious treats. She states: “I moved to Asbury Park a few years back and have been inspired by the city’s live music scene, its close-knit small business community and of course, all its delicious food. I’m thrilled for Milk Sugar Love to join this creative community.”

Milk Sugar Love is poised to become an Asbury Park go-to, both for major moments and for simple celebrations. Taylor explains that turning the eatery into a neighborhood staple is part of her vision: “I want it to be the whole family experience; the place you come to celebrate after your kids’ soccer game, the place you come to celebrate date night. I love people to come in as a group and have an experience together. I’m super excited for that kind of community and family feel.”

Founded in 2014, Milk Sugar Love has made a name for itself, both through its lovingly prepared ice cream and baked goods, and through its commitment to collaborating with local businesses. The eatery takes pride in using “only the best local and all natural ingredients.”

Asbury Park foodies can look forward to sampling a wide range of ice cream flavors, including Earl Grey Fudge, Midnight Cocoa, Summer Corn and Blueberries, Shiso Mint Chip, Matcha Cookie and Miso Honey Pumpkin.

Milk Sugar Love Creamery and Bakeshop will be open Tuesday through Sunday, from 2pm to 10 pm.
