Sometime between Sep 17 and October, Blazin J’s will unveil its newest location at the College of New Jersey in Ewing Township. However, according to owner Jabron Taylor, that’s just the beginning for this young but powerful Pennsylvania chicken brand.

Within the next six months to a year, Blazin J’s is looking to open another four to five outposts, including in Philadelphia and New Jersey’s metro areas. Those locations will join the company’s current portfolio which includes Downtown Lancaster, Park City Center, and West Chester, mirroring a strategy that Taylor describes as starting with the suburbs and then moving their way inward. And, if all goes according to plan, Blazin J’s will simultaneously pursue a larger franchising strategy over the next two years.

It’s admittedly an ambitious plan, but one that Taylor and Blazin J’s co-owners – which includes his wife, Nicole Taylor, as well as Dustin and Heather Lewis – seem entirely capable of succeeding in.

“It’s been great,” Taylor tells What Now Philadelphia. “There have been a lot of challenges that we’ve been overcoming to get where we’re going, [and] it’s been a lot of work but a beautiful process.”
