Pita Chip, the modern Middle Eastern cuisine restaurant, will be opening a new location in Yardley, Pennsylvania. Howard Klayman, one of the partners of the chain, told What Now Philadelphia via phone that there is no specific date for the opening of the new restaurant but that they hope it will be opening sometime soon.

Co-founder and chef Omar Alsaadi and co-founder Mouhanad Kabbani are the other two partners in the chain.

Pita Chip makes everything from scratch, from their falafel to their beef and lamb shawarma and chicken shawarma, to their hummus and, yes, their pita chips, baklava, and cookies. Chef Alsaadi says on the restaurant’s website that the food Pita Chip serves reminds him of the street food that he ate as a child. He states, “…the best part about Pita Chip is the memories our food evokes of my childhood. One bite of our falafel and I am transported back to Damascus, Syria, smelling all the wonderful street vendor foods.”

Howard Klayman said in the phone conversation with What Now Philadelphia that the Yardley space is bigger than the other two locations and will have more room for more food and drinks. He also said that the decor uses reclaimed wood and metals.
