Puttery, an adults-only golf-themed food and entertainment company, is seeking a new Philadelphia home after withdrawing plans for a Fishtown property according to Philadelphia Business Journal.
Jacob Cooper of MSC, speaking as a representative of the property developer, confirmed the Puttery’s withdrawal. The company withdrew its application for a zoning exception for 1400 North Howard Street in November of 2022.
Dallas-based company, Drive Shack Inc., owns Puttery and other golf-themed companies, including Golf Shack and American Golf. Steve Gartner, speaking on behalf of CBRE, the real estate firm representing Drive Shack, confirms Puttery is continuing its search for its first Philadelphia location.
Neither Drive Shack nor Asana Partners, the real estate firm managing 1400 North Howard Street, confirmed a reason for Puttery’s departure from the 20,000-square-foot property.
Drive Shack initially announced plans for the Philadelphia Puttery in November of 2021. Originally slated to open in late 2022, Puttery’s plans included several bars, food and cocktail menus, and three themed indoor golf courses.
Puttery is a 21-and-over indoor golfing complex. The establishment allows guests to sit and dine or to take cocktails with them as they golf through. The company currently has locations in Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, and Washington DC. In addition to the yet-to-be-determined Philadelphia location, Puttery is opening new complexes in Miami, New York, Kansas City, and Minneapolis.
Puttery’s existing locations feature full food and drink menus. The restaurants provide elevated bar appetizers, pizzas, salads, and desserts. The drink menus offer signature cocktails, mocktails, and wine and beer lists.
