Hamilton Township Caniacs, now might be a good time to start getting your hopes up. Raising Cane’s, the impossibly popular chicken chain, appears to be bringing its fast-casual cuisine to a long abandoned local bank building, reports local media outlet WPST.
The concept’s prospective home, located at 955 NJ-Route 33, previously housed a Chase Bank. The building is not yet ready to swap out its safe deposit boxes for deep fryers; the Raising Cane’s is still in preliminary stages.
Hamilton Township Public Information Officer Bianca Jerez states that the local committees are still awaiting certain formal applications from Cane’s. She explains: “”They have some things that they need to sure up before submitting an application that would go before our Zoning Board. They’re not scheduled to go before the Zoning Board just yet. Hopefully they’ll be able to get their application in soon so we can start moving ahead.”
Though Raising Cane’s has been feeding visitors since 1996, the chain has shown considerable growth in New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area this year. The restaurant is ensuring that locals have ample opportunity to sample its signature, made-to-order chicken tenders and sandwiches, enhanced by its beloved secret sauce.
