A popular local coffee roaster is preparing to pour out a second cup for Berks County. Reading Coffee Company is bringing its specialty brews to Amity Township this fall, reports local media outlet 69 News.

The cafe will be moving into The Pointe at Douglassville, a new luxury apartment building currently being constructed at the intersection of Route 422 and Monocacy Creek Road. Reading Coffee Company president and CEO Frank Orman tells What Now Philadelphia that the new coffee shop is eying a September 1 opening.

Orman says that the new location will allow the cafe to bring its delicious brews more conveniently to an even broader audience than its current Birdsboro home. He states “The Pointe at Douglassville is the perfect location to serve both residents and commuters with our coffees and exceptional hospitality. This location will be geared toward convenience and our commuters who might not be able to get to our main location. This is easy – right on 422.”

Locals too eager to wait for this autumn to sample Reading Coffee Company’s freshly made coffee drinks and pastries can stop into the concept’s flagship shop at 316 West Main Street in Birdsboro.

While Reading Coffee Company’s cafe presence is still relatively new, the brand is no stranger to the java game. The roaster’s website explains: “Founded in 1989, The Reading Coffee Company is a purveyor of small-batch, gourmet coffee. For over three decades, we have endeavored to perfect our methods and to cultivate relationships with leading importers, thereby gaining access to premium coffees from around the world.”
