Setting out to prove that fast-casual cuisine can be healthy without sacrificing speed or convenience, a popular national brand is working on bringing nutritious options to Shrewsbury. Just Salad is opening in the region later this year, reports local media outlet Asbury Park Press.

The restaurant is bringing its leafy greens and vegetables to 1021 Broad Street. The building, located in the Staples Plaza, previously housed a Boston Market that closed up shop in the summer of 2023. While a precise opening date is not currently available for Just Salad’s second Jersey Shore storefront, a spokesperson confirmed that the chain is hoping to open in Shrewsbury by the end of this year.

Just Salad was founded in New York in 2006. The brand quickly amassed an ardent fan following, owing to its impressive menu of salads, warm bowls, wraps, and smoothies. In addition to house recipes, customers can opt to create their own bespoke dishes, selecting the ingredients for their ideal salads.
