Marlton residents will have to wait a little longer than initially anticipated to enjoy Sunflour Bakeshop’s treats. Local media outlet WPST reports that construction on the bakery, originally slated to open its doors late this summer, is taking longer than expected, resulting in an uncertain opening date.

Sunflour informed followers of the delay via an Instagram post. The bakery states that its new facility, located at 300 East Greentree Road, will include several improvements and additions, stating “We’ll be adding an espresso bar, a seating area, a dedicated wedding cake tasting area, lots of new shop items and capacity for more orders!”

Sunflour is taking over the space vacated by Randolph’s Bakery. The shop will continue to operate out of their Mount Laurel location until July 29.

Sunflour Bakeshop specializes in crafting made-from-scratch sweet treats. In addition to the various delicious scones, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, cookies, and cheesecakes the shop keeps in stock daily, Sunflour fulfills custom orders. The bakery also provides party trays and offers baking classes.
