The Green Stinger will eventually be located at 9996 S Dupont Hwy, Felton, DE 19943. However, the new restaurant’s doors won’t open until after the new year, according to owner Paul Casarotto.
Originally opened in 2009, The Green Stinger started with the intention of “providing a fun, and community-centric atmosphere.” Over the years, the establishment was able to accomplish just that, growing its operation from a local libation location into a large & loyal family.
The Green Stinger staff “pride [them]selves in being a local hangout for all ages, serving great food and drinks in an up-beat, laid-back atmosphere driven by the excitement and harmony of sports and music.” The company’s website boasts an eclectic rotation of bands, DJs, and karaoke nights on the weekends, while the pub’s menu stays a bit more consistent, offering stuffed burgers, big baskets, and hefty sandwiches.
“We will be closing the Smyrna location as we look to expand in central DE,” the company website explains. “To all of the patrons who we had the honor to serve and entertain, we cherish you and look forward to seeing you at the new spot!”
The website goes on to say, “The Green Stinger is growing! In recent months, we have expanded our footprint by acquiring the historical ‘Seafood City’ location in Felton, DE. We have so many great plans for this location that we are confident will fulfill your expectations on a grand scale.”
