A top national ice cream chain has a sweet scoop for New Jersey diners. Van Leeuwen, known for its distinctive flavors, is opening a new shop in Millburn this year.

The chain will be opening its latest Garden State location at 35 Main Street, in the space that previously housed Willow and Whisk. Van Leeuwen has not yet revealed an opening timeline, stating only that the Millburn storefront is “coming soon”. However, the brand has begun recruiting staff for the new shop, suggesting locals will be able to enjoy a delicious scoop sooner than later.

Van Leeuwen is no stranger to New Jersey; it has begun building up a small but powerful ice cream empire in the state. The brand has opened two locations so far, one in Jersey City and one in East Rutherford. In addition to the Millburn storefront, Van Leeuwen has a Hoboken shop in the works.
