Make it rain! Dollar Tree continues to expand across the Garden State.

The discount retailer will take over two former Rite Aid locations in South Jersey: 335 Village Center in Swedesboro and 860 Cooper St. in Deptford, according to 42 Freeway.

Dollar Tree is known for offering affordable everyday essentials including household items, food, party supplies and seasonal products.

The store traces its roots to 1953, when it began as a small variety store in Norfolk, Virginia. The company launched its first $1 stores in 1986 and officially became Dollar Tree in 1994. Today, it has more than 9,000 stores across 48 states and seven Canadian provinces.

Opening dates for the upcoming locations have not yet been announced, but hiring is underway.

The Swedesboro store is seeking customer service associates and an assistant manager, while the Deptford location is hiring for customer service associates, an assistant manager and a merchandising assistant manager.
