A new men’s grooming destination is shaping up to open in King of Prussia this fall.

Hammer & Nails will debut at 155 Main St., Suite 110, in the town center.

The shop offers a step up from the typical barber experience, with men enjoying grooming services from a reclining leather chair while sipping a cocktail, if desired.

“We’re just trying to generate an experience for gentlemen—making it a destination rather than a chore,” operator Marcus Singletary told Whatnow Philadelphia.

Services include professional haircuts and styling, coloring, beard trims and shaves, waxing, nail and foot care, and facials. Each service is available at multiple tiers, ranging from classic to signature.

“We have four 55-inch TVs for the hand and foot room. That’s more of a relaxing environment. The cut and shave stations all have small 24-inch TVs. The men can put on headphones and watch the TV while the artist works on them,” he said.

For men looking for an even more elevated experience, exclusive monthly memberships are available, offering a convenient way to make grooming part of their regular routine.

Coincidentally, the upcoming King of Prussia location will be situated across from Drybar, a women’s blowout salon. Singletary joked, “men can go over there and get gift cards for their women and women can come across the way and get a gift card for their men.”

Hammer & Nails will make its debut on Sept. 12.

This isn’t the only location Singletary has in the works. He also plans to open a second location at 121 E. City Ave. in the former Lord + Taylor space in Bala Cynwyd, with the new location expected to open early next year.

“Both locations are key with traffic, which is what we’re excited about,” he said.

Hammer & Nails opened its first location in West Hollywood, California, in 2013, initially offering only manicures and pedicures. The brand expanded its services in 2018 and now has 54 open locations across 15 states, offering a one-stop grooming experience.
