A Philadelphia yoga studio is set to spread its wings with a third location this summer.

Monarch Yoga, owned by Michelle Dillon, will open at 3421 Walnut St. in the heart of University City. The new studio will join the company’s existing locations in Kensington and Northern Liberties.

“We’re so excited to join the Shop Penn Retail District and become part of a neighborhood keeps this city moving!” the website reads.

The new studio will offer the same welcoming atmosphere while creating its own distinct identity. Guests can expect a spacious lobby for relaxing before and after class, a large sunlit studio and a shower for a post-flow refresh.

Monarch Yoga offers classes for a variety of experience levels and fitness goals.

Heated Power Flow features a vinyasa-style practice in a 95-to 105-degree room, linking breath with movement to build strength, stamina and focus. Deep Stretch Yin emphasizes long-held postures to improve mobility, release tension and promote relaxation. Slow Flow gives participants more time to refine alignment, deepen breath awareness and build strength. Heated Power Strength builds on Heated Power Flow by adding strength intervals and controlled cardio bursts, with optional Bala Bands and Bala Bangles for additional resistance.

The studio also hosts Five Dollar Flows at Schuylkill Banks and Clark Park.

The team plans to open the University City location in August. Visit the Monarch Yoga website and follow along on Instagram for the latest updates.
