Spinato’s Pizzeria & Family Kitchen is opening a full-service restaurant inside the BetMGM Sportsbook at State Farm Stadium, 9591 W. Sportsman Pk. N. in Glendale, according to an announcement from the Arizona Cardinals.
The restaurant will replace Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar and is scheduled to soft open on October 5, followed by a grand opening on October 25 ahead of the Cardinals’ home game against the Denver Broncos.
The restaurant will give Spinato’s its first full-service location in the West Valley after more than 50 years in Arizona. The company has already had a presence at State Farm Stadium for the past two seasons, serving pizza from concession stands as the Official Pizza of the Arizona Cardinals.
The new restaurant will sit inside the 17,000-square-foot BetMGM Sportsbook on the north end of the Great Lawn. Renovations are now underway to turn the former Flanker space into a Spinato’s restaurant.
Guests will be able to order the broader Spinato’s menu, which includes its Chicago-style pizza, sandwiches, pastas, calzones, salads, desserts, and gluten-free and keto-friendly options.
The Glendale restaurant will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week. It will also be the only Spinato’s currently operating on Mondays. On days without NFL games, customers will be able to dine in or order takeout and delivery, and catering will also be available.
Game days will work a little differently. During Cardinals home games and select major stadium events, the restaurant will fall within the secured event perimeter and be available to ticketed guests.
Spinato’s will also sell pizza by the slice from its outdoor patio to fans tailgating on the Great Lawn, something the company has not offered at its other restaurants.
The move adds another chapter to the partnership between Spinato’s and the Cardinals.
“For many years, we have received requests from loyal guests who drove far distances from the West Valley to dine at our restaurants. Even during Cardinals games, fans at the concession stands would ask, ‘When are you going to open a restaurant near us?’ The Arizona Cardinals have been an incredible partner, and when we learned the opportunity became available inside the BetMGM Sportsbook, we knew it was the perfect fit. We’re excited to bring the full Spinato’s Experience to Cardinals fans and the Glendale community,” CEO Anthony Spinato said in a statement.
Founded in Scottsdale in 1974, Spinato’s currently operates six restaurants in Tempe, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Ahwatukee, Central Phoenix, and North Phoenix. The company is also planning another West Valley restaurant at GSQ-Goodyear Civic Square, which is expected to open in 2027.
