After years of delays, Thirsty Lion Gastropub is preparing to open a new location in Glendale at 9445 W Entertainment Blvd.

Previously, What Now Phoenix had reported on Concept Entertainment Group opening a new location of Thirsty Lion Gastropub in Glendale, expected to open at the end of 2022. After several delays, the company is finally ready to open at the Westgate Entertainment Center in early September 2024, according to the company’s website. Thirsty Lion Gastropub has four locations in Arizona, plus a handful more in Colorado, Oregon, and Texas. Customers can expect scratch-made food, craft cocktails, beer and wine.

“This will be our fifth and largest restaurant in Arizona, perfectly positioned at Westgate and just a short stroll to State Farm Stadium and Desert Diamond Arena,” according to the company’s website. “Our two-story Glendale location will include a main dining area, our iconic “center bar,” and an outdoor patio on level one, with an amazing rooftop dining area on level two. The second-story, featuring a covered open-air rooftop patio, bar, and dining area, will be the spot for capturing panoramic views of the surrounding area and our beautiful Arizona sunsets.”

Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill’s mission is to revolutionize the gastropub business by combining the traditional values of European and American pubs and creating a gathering place where friends and family can come together to celebrate life, enjoy great food, craft cocktails and beers as well as music and sports. Customers can dine here during lunch, dinner, daily happy hour, late night happy hour, weekend brunch, and as a private event space. Thirsty Lion Gastropub will join an impressive dining lineup at the Westgate Entertainment Center, including Bar Louie, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dave and Busters, and much more.
