“It’s hard to find the right words for this,” said an Instagram post published on Instagram by Libre, the popular dessert and cocktail bar, announcing that its last day of service would be April 4. “Libre was never just a bar to us. It was late nights, loud laughs, quiet conversations, and so many beautiful, unexpected moments in between.”

“Always loved coming here, plus you threw the best NYC parties,” said one comment. “Excited to see what’s next!”

So are we!

And this week, we’ve may have caught a glimpse of what it is. On Monday, What Now came across liquor licensing documents submitted by Libre 26 LLC for a new concept at Libre’s address, 2601 SE Clinton St., in Portland. It’s called Ring Ding Ding.

Details on Ring Ding Ding are not available yet. What Now contacted a representative of the Ring Ding Ding/Libre on Monday to ask about plans for the new bar/restaurant project. The representative said it’s still to soon share any info.

More is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks, however, so stay tuned! The Libre space doesn’t look like it’s staying empty for long!
