According to a recent permit filing, Battle Ground Station will soon open at 106 E Main Street in Battle Ground.

A representative of Battle Ground Station was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Portland’s request.

While an official opening date and the offerings for Battle Ground Station have yet to be confirmed, the station will be on a 0.45-acre lot and was last sold in 2017, according to Redfin.

According to an article from The Reflector in 2022, the vision for Battle Ground Station is brought to life by the Patel family, long-standing property owners in the area. Alkesh and Bindiya Patel, along with their son Parth, have been stewards of this land for decades. Previously, the property hosted a dry cleaning business managed by the Patel family, and they also own the nearby Best Western Hotel on Main Street.

For Parth Patel, the decision to transform the vacant lot into Battle Ground Station is described as a response to the city’s ongoing growth. With Battle Ground’s population on the rise, the Patel family recognized an opportunity to put this central Main Street location to good use. Already housing Taqueria Los Toritos, the lot seemed poised for culinary expansion.

The vision for Battle Ground Station began taking shape just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the timing has been challenging due to the uncertainties of the pandemic, the Patel family are described as having remained committed to their vision.

Once complete, Battle Ground Station will accommodate up to 10 food carts, creating a diverse culinary landscape for visitors to explore. A covered seating area will set out to provide comfort in all weather conditions, with heaters for colder days and fans to keep things cool during warmer spells, according to the previously mentioned article.
