The Oregon-based healthy bowl chain is moving into a new Portland space soon.

According to a recent report from Cedar Mill News, Cafe Yumm! is opening a new location at the Milltowner Center area, 12845 NW Cornell Road. An official opening date has not been announced, but it is set to debut sometime this spring.

Cafe Yumm! has been around since 1997 and is known for their bowls topped with veggies, rice and beans. Popular plates include the Southwest Yumm Bowl and Spicy Teriyaki Yumm Bowl. Plates, chips, salads and bento are also available.

The company has locations at NE 7th Avenue, the PDX Airport and the Portland State University Recreation Center. There are also locations in Portland suburbs, Eugene, Springfield, Corvallis, Salem and Bend. The company was founded in Eugene.

Most Cafe Yumm! restaurants are franchised, but according to the article this will be a company-owned location. This is joining other spots such as Grand Central Bakery, Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza and Hometown Taste Chinese. A Target store is also in the plaza.

What Now Portland has reached out to Chief Growth Officer for Cafe Yumm! Chris Jirges for comment, and this article may be updated.
