According to a recent permit filing, EarthLab Bike Bar is set to open soon in the Kerns area, located at 409 NE 8th Avenue.
A representative of EarthLab Bike Bar did not immediately return What Now Portland’s request for comment.
While an official opening date and menu options have yet to be confirmed, the owners of EarthLab Bike Bar are also the creators EarthLab Libations. Nestled on Southeast Belmont Street, just a stone’s throw away from ForeLand Beer, EarthLab Libations is a beer cart housed within a charming 1988 Italian box truck.
Owners Dan Denison and Matt McDonald have transformed this mobile oasis into a destination where neighborhood residents eagerly gather for a thoughtfully curated tap list.
Since its opening in the fall of 2021, EarthLab has become a beloved fixture within the community, offering a range of engaging events and fostering a vibrant social atmosphere. This delightful beer cart emerged from the shared experiences of the owners, who first crossed paths while working at the now-closed Belgian beer establishment, The Abbey Bar.
EarthLab regularly hosts a diverse range of events, ensuring there is always something to captivate visitors. Movie nights take place on Thursdays, with screenings projected onto a screen during rainy weather or onto the neighboring building when the elements are more favorable. Additionally, live music performances, chess nights, and open mic events provide an array of entertainment options for patrons, according to a recent article from Oregon Live.
