The popular chain with breakfast, lunch and dinner options may soon have a spot in the city.
Elmer’s Restaurants, Inc. recently applied for a liquor license at 11335 NE Airport Way. This is near the airport and is at the same space as Shari’s Cafe & Pies which closed down. The restaurant would be at the corner of NE Glenn Widing Drive and NE Airport Way.
According to We Are Crackin’ LLC, a company that does franchising for Elmer’s Restaurants, the new location will be corporately owned. The first location was founded by Walt and Dorothy Elmer at Elmer’s Colonial Pancake House in 1960. Now, there are currently 29 restaurants in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California and Arizona.
The menu of course has many breakfast items to choose from, including hand-rolled omelets. For lunches and dinners, there are sandwiches like the club, BLTA, reuben and prime rib dip sandwich. Salads, fish and chips and chicken tenders are also available.
Right now, their listed hours of operation are 6:30 a.m.-9 p.m. This is a full on-premises application, and there would also be video lottery machines.
For its location, the restaurant will be across the street from Clarion Hotel Portland and Shilo Inns Portland Airport. There is no official opening date right now, but We Are Crackin’ LLC confirmed the project is happening.
