According to a recent permit filing, FLOCK will be set to open in Downtown Portland at 917 SW Alder Street.

A representative of FLOCK was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Portland’s request.

According to an article from Portland Monthly, FLOCK is described to be a food court slated to open sometime in November of this year.

Described as being nestled within the confines of the Block 216 Tower, which also hosts The Ritz-Carlton Residences, and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, this space is stated to be set to pay homage to Portland’s rich food culture while casting a hopeful gaze towards its promising future.

FLOCK will open with a clear mission: to champion local, BIPOC-owned businesses and elevate them to the forefront of downtown Portland’s ongoing revitalization. The founders of FLOCK, Jae Kim and Daniel Lee, express this vision eloquently to Portland Monthly: “FLOCK is more than a food gallery. We are creating a community of culinary talent and innovation to share the best of our city with locals and visitors alike.”

Daniel Lee and Jae Kim are stated to have left no stone unturned in their pursuit of culinary excellence, curating a special list of vendors for FLOCK. They set out to find the crème de la crème of Portland’s culinary talent, ensuring an unparalleled culinary experience characterized by top-tier food and impeccable service, all infused with the flavors of diverse cuisines, according to the previous article mentioned from Portland Monthly.
