Glisan Station, a new food cart pod with 22 carts and a full cocktail bar, is being built at 17905 NE Glisan St. in Gresham, with an opening projected for late December 2026. The project is the first of its kind for developer Abera Abu, who hopes to build more pods after this one.

The pod will feature 22 food carts, and Abu plans for no two carts to serve the same cuisine so vendors don’t compete with one another. Coffee and ice cream are also planned. A permanent main building will house an indoor bar with a full cocktail menu and an interior eating area, with a space for kids and outdoor seating.

Much of the site will be covered, according to Bridgetown Bites. The main building will be covered on three sides, leaving the fourth open, and a roof will run over a roughly 15-foot walkway alongside seven or eight carts. A green space on the northeast side will include a covered area for year-round outdoor dining. Parking will include about 17 or 18 off-street spots.

The pod sits on the north side of Glisan Street near NE 181st Street, in the Wilkes East neighborhood on the border with Northeast Portland. A strip mall and an Albertsons are across the street. A 1938 house previously stood on the roughly two-thirds-acre lot, which sold for $680,000 in October 2024.
