Hana Sushi and Izakaya will soon be expanding to the Pearl District with a second location, located at 138 NW 10th Ave, confirmed by its owner Yi Zhao.
“We’re very excited to be able to expand! We’re currently waiting on final touches, such as decorations we’ve imported from Japan and other imports, so we are staying hopeful to be able to open sometime next month or so,” Zhao told What Now Portland.
“Our menu will be similar to our location in Corvallis and will also have April’s Teahouse inside of this location, which will offer boba tea,” Yi also added.
Hana offers a rotating conveyor belt of sushi plates, such as the tiger roll, caterpillar roll, and their sushi roll creations. Each plate is color-coded to include specific pricing tiers, with those colors being green, yellow, purple, blue, red, black, and brown. With the conveyor belt option, you can sit and watch the sushi roll by and hand-select your meal without a menu needed.
Patrons can also enjoy appetizers, hot menu options such as curry or teriyaki chicken, or sashimi varieties. For those that are unfamiliar with sashimi, sashimi is considered to be a delicacy from Japan and is crafted by expertly slicing fresh raw fish or meat into thin pieces, which are commonly served alongside soy sauce.
