According to a recent permit filing, Ikon Lounge will open sometime soon in the Downtown area, located at 214 SW Broadway.

A representative of Ikon Lounge was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Portland’s request.

While an official opening date and overall information on Ikon Lounge has yet to be released, according to the Better Business Bureau, the permit filer for Ikon Lounge, Azim Patel, also owns Fuse Bar.

Better Business Bureau states that Fuse Bar has been open for 7 years and is also located in Downtown Portland. Fuse Bar “started” in March of 2016.

When doing some research on Fuse, Google describes the establishment as a “warm, brick-clad corner venue offers coffee by day & cocktails by night, plus buzzy music options.”

According to the company website, Fuse is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 PM to 2 AM, and for special events. Patrons can reserve tables, as well as partake in their champagne bottle service upon request.

Fuse also imposes a dress code, where patrons are expected to “dress to impress.” They state that they do not allow hats, tank tops, jerseys, sweatpants, athletic shorts, slides, and flip-flops.

When it comes to Ikon Lounge, the space was originally listed for lease in October of 2020. Vacant square footage is listed to be approximately 4,600 for the space, with the listing being on the market for a little bit over 1,000 days, according to Crexi.

The permit filing itself lists Ikon Lounge’s expected days of operation to be every day from 5 PM to 2:30 AM. There is also a section for a live music schedule, expected to operate every day from 10 PM to 2:00 AM.
